A few short years ago, the word “bachelorette” didn’t exist.
Now, bachelorettes are everywhere. What’s a bride-to-be to do?
Party on, of course.
“We went to Lucky Chengs in New York, it was drag queen night,” said Kellie Montone, 26, of Hillsborough, of a bachelorette party she attended in the spring. Hers is coming up in September. “It was a little risque, but it wasn’t that bad.”
Montone isn’t sure if her party will take place in New York City or Atlantic City.
“I’ll probably just hang out with friends,” Montone said. “I don’t want strippers or anything like that. I’d kind of like it to be a party.”
While the parties that Montone likes are relatively tame, bachelorette events do come in all shapes and sizes, from the intimate gathering at home with friends to a big night out, rolling around town like celebs in a limo.
