Manhattan Strip Clubs: Tennessee Titans back up QB Chris Simms arrested on drug charges
Is it possible to go even a couple of days without a sports star being arrested or in the news for conduct unbecoming? This week Tennessee Titans Quarterback Vince Young got good news that he may avoid suspension for his part in a Dallas strip club incident a few weeks ago.
Now today comes news that their backup quarterback Chris Simms was arrested Thursday in New York City on charges of driving while on drugs, according to police.
Simms is the son of former New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms, a current CBS sports commentator who once led the Giants to two Super Bowls, playing 14 seasons with the team.
The 29-year-old quarterback was pulled over about 1:30 a.m. in Manhattan early this morning. Police say he appeared to be slurring his speech and his eyes were red, and that it further appeared Simms had been smoking marijuana. Saying they smelled marijuana in Simms’ car but did not find any.
