Manhattan Strip Clubs: Khansari: Leno lackluster compared to media hype
Despite a lackluster first performance that left critics disappointed, the show rebounded somewhat on his second night. It started poorly with a performance by comedian Jim Norton that collected few laughs. It picked up steam in the next segment, called “10 at 10,” where Leno interviewed Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise via satellite. Leno asked the celebrities 10 ridiculous questions.
The segment stole the show. The first set of questions ranged from Diaz’s make-up to asking how much time Cruise spends in strip clubs. Leno even persuaded Cruise to recite a line from “Top Gun” and sing some of Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely.” The highlight was the last question, where Cruise was asked if he was better at sex or flying. His response: “Sex with me is like flying.” This figures to be the only potential “can’t miss” skit of the new show.
