Manhattan Strip Clubs: Jimmy Kimmel lampoons Jay Leno — to Leno’s face
Jimmy Kimmel appeared on Leno’s 10 p.m. show Thursday and all but eviscerated the host with a series of put-downs pegged to the situation at NBC, which has announced it is moving Leno’s show to 11:35 p.m. and bumping O’Brien’s “Tonight Show” to 12:05 a.m. O’Brien has said he won’t agree to the move.
Kimmel, appearing on Leno’s “10 (questions) at 10″ segment, was asked for the best prank he ever pulled.
“I told a guy that five years from now, ‘I’m gonna give you my show,’ and then when the five years came, I gave it to him and then I took it back almost instantly,” Kimmel answered, in a thinly veiled reference to Leno’s agreement five years ago to turn over the “Tonight Show” to O’Brien. Another question in the segment had Kimmel declaring he didn’t like strippers because “you have this phony relationship with them for money, similar to that of when you and Conan were on the ‘Tonight Show’ together passing the torch.”
