Manhattan Strip Clubs: Global human trafficking news roundup ( March 3, 2010)

Thailand: The police cracks down on beggars to combat human trafficking rings. As a result, 13 beggars and children on the street were arrested. The police also confiscated their personal belongings and clothes. It is common for  Thai children to be hired by the illegal migrants on the streets for begging. 
Jordan: The national anti-human trafficking strategy was launched yesterday. The government representative said that though human trafficking is not common in Jordan, a few cases were reported last year. 
AFRICA
South Africa: A man was accused of human trafficking. He was arrested over the last weekend, but current is out on bail. He allegedly trafficked a woman from Ukraine, who worked as a stripper in South Africa. The charge was brought against him when he was demanding another man for money to bring her into the country.
