Feuerstein, 40, who portrays hot Dr. Hank, said he first learned of the Hamptons — the wealthy oceanfront community where “Royal Pains” takes place — while attending the famed Dalton School in Manhattan as a teen. But it wasn’t a completely high-brow childhood for Feuerstein, who revealed that he spent most of his free time as a kid hosting break dancing sessions at the temple he attended on the Upper East Side. He even made T-shirts for his crew and learned to pop and lock on cardboard boxes. Who knew the Ivy league actor (who actually attended Princeton) had a hip-hop background?!
Apparently, Bomer, 34, has a few dance moves of his own. While filming “Magic Mike” — a movie about male strippers also starring Matthew McConaughey, Alex Pettyfer, and Channing Tatum — the “White Collar” actor managed to pick up some tips from Tatum, who has been extremely open about his real-life past as an actual stripper. Bomer credits “Magic Mike” choreographer Alison Faulk for playing to his strengths and helping to cover up some of his, um, more awkward dance scenes.

… Headless body in topless bar” killer denied parole

By Daniel Trotta NEW YORK | Wed Jan 25, 2012 5:50am IST NEW YORK (Reuters) – New York state authorities denied parole on Tuesday to the man convicted of the crime that generated one of the most famous headlines in U.S. journalism: the New York Post’s “Headless body in topless bar.” The parole board denied early release for Charles Dingle, 53, convicted of the 1983 rampage in which he fatally shot the owner of a topless bar, took hostages, raped a woman and forced another to cut off the dead man’s head in order to prevent police from linking the bullet to his gun.Dingle, held in an upstate prison, has maintained his innocence despite numerous eyewitnesses and considerable physical evidence. The headline, credited to Vincent Musetto, an editor and film critic who retired last year after 40 years at the Post, recalls a much more violent New York City than today’s. There were nearly 2,000 murders in 1983 compared with 515 in 2011, …

With the arrest happening on a Thursday morning, the Post had time to get the story in one of its afternoon editions. A front-page teaser headline read “Cops find headless body in topless bar — Page 8.”
By Friday morning, at least one of the editions carried the banner front-page headline “Headless body in topless bar,” and a legend was born.
Musetto’s work also provided the title for the book “Headless Body in Topless Bar: The Best Headlines from America’s Favorite Newspaper.”

ALBANY, N.Y. — Parole has been denied for an inmate whose crime inspired the sensational 1983 tabloid headline “Headless body in topless bar.”

ALBANY — Parole has been denied for an inmate whose crime inspired the sensational 1983 Post headline “Headless body in topless bar.”
A parole board says it would be dangerous to release 53-year-old Charles Dingle because of his “continued poor behavior” and “disturbing criminal history.” The decision came after a videoconference hearing Tuesday from a western New York prison.
The board notes four disciplinary infractions since his last review, including threats he made last week.
He was convicted of shooting Queens bar owner Herbert Cummings, taking four women hostage, raping one and ordering another to cut off Cummings’ head.
Dingle is serving 25 years to life for murder, robbery, rape and kidnapping.

Director Aaron Willis has kept all the period appropriate references to VCRs, Quentin Tarantino’s breakout films, and the release of the Tommy Lee & Pamela Anderson sex tape intact. He and sound designer Lindsay Taft have also done a plum job of giving the piece an authentic late ’90s soundtrack—Radiohead, Green Day, etc.—that thankfully never overwhelms the actor’s dialogue. RENT really is discussed, in a withering appraisal by Petra, who’s developed a tenuous friendship with a lonely patron (Mike McPhaden, in a nicely nuanced turn) at the strip club where she’s secretly taken up dancing again. Loneliness is a disease that creeps up on all the characters in Shinn’s play, though it’s more obvious with some; Stephen’s, for instance, is outright and desperate, and exaggerated by Mark’s repression and new lifestyle choices (which drive Lewis’ still-pining character to distraction).

Sinclair long a role model among French women vowed at Monday’s news conference that there would be no conflict of interest in her new job.
“All important information will be treated normally. And everything that should be page 1 will be page 1,” Sinclair insisted.
What if the news is about her husband?
“I wasn’t expecting that question,” she quipped. “I don’t think it will be the essential news of 2012, but if it were we would handle it … in a professional manner.”
Strauss-Kahn still faces a civil lawsuit in the U.S. by the hotel maid, Nafissatou Diallo, but that could take years to reach court.
His name has surfaced in an ongoing investigation of a prostitution ring in Lille, in northern France, implicating police and other officials. However, he has not been questioned. French prosecutors refused to pursue an allegation by a young French writer of attempted rape in 2003.
