Manhattan Escorts: Dominique Strauss-Kahn did not know he was sleeping with prostitutes ‘because …

DSK, as the French call him, later allegedly retrieved the phone, using it to contact his friend and arrange meetings with girls for the three months leading up to his arrest in May on suspicion of trying to rape maid Nafissatou Diallo.
When charges were dropped, he returned to France only to face separate allegations that he tried to rape a young writer eight years ago.
These too were dropped and Mr Strauss-Kahn has been tentatively seeking to return to public life, making recent appearances at an economic forum in China and in Sarcelles, the Paris suburb where he was mayor.
But his bounce back efforts have been hampered by a string of testimonies from escort girls alleging they had sex with him. Some claim he was “brutal” but none have pressed for charges

Manhattan Strip Clubs: The Only Living Maid in Law & Order’s New York

The Law & Order franchises are famous for recycling actors: One episode’s stripper is the next episode’s ADA. But no one individual — save for series regulars or semi-regulars — has been more prevalent in the series as actress Teresa Yenque. She has appeared in seven episodes of Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU — as a different character every time.
Unfortunately, all of Yenque’s roles have been cleaning ladies or relatives of murder victims. Between Law & Order proper and SVU, Yenque has played “Cleaning Lady” (2010), “Housekeeper” (2001), housekeeper Elizabeth Pinero (2002), housekeeper/nanny Angela Cruz (1998), housekeeper Theresa Aguilar (1994), grieving mother Maria Morales (2009), and grieving grandmother Graciella Hernandez (2002). All of her characters have elements in common: They’re terrified of the police, terrified of being deported, big criers, hard workers, and god-fearing Christians. They are also usually the only characters — aside from the law enforcement/justice gang — you don’t hate. Unfortunately, that doesn’t make them any less stereotypical.

Manhattan Strip Clubs: Co-op lobbies to change name of East 52nd Street to boost property values

The residents of the five-building complex, located east of First Avenue, have yet to settle on a name (some like River Place) but they’ve already begun lobbying to local politicians, including Council member Jessica Lappin who represents the neighborhood, and Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer. And they want more than just an honorary street name that largely goes ignored. They’re seeking a complete name change, the likes of which have onl happened on 10 streets in the last five years, the Times said.
Sales data shows that sales prices are generally higher on Beeckman and Sutton places than they are on East 52nd Street, even though it’s sandwiched between the two ritzy street names.
Brokers interviewed by the Times were conflicted as to whether the name change would make any difference in real estate values, but the report noted that it can’t be worse than the strip clubs that an address crosstown on 52nd Street brings to mind. [NYT]

Manhattan Strip Clubs: How I Met Your Mother Embraces Change With Two Altered Opening Themes In 46 …

Barney embraced the idea that hed be leader of the group, and that kicked the episode off with the first of two modified theme songs. Of course, Barney seemed to be enjoying the change a bit more than everyone else…
The rediscovery of Jasmine, Lilys doppelganger, led to the next version, which had the cigarette smoking Lily look-alike posed in the usual montage of snapshots looking bored and irritated…
Of course, attempts to replace Lily with a foreign stripper only led to disaster, but it was funny regardless. Whats more, I had this sinking fear toward the end of the episode, which also had Marshall and Lily struggling with some new-house issues, that they were going to somehow put the couple back in the city, deciding that they werent ready to migrate to the suburbs just yet. But they didnt. In fact, Marshall and Lilys friends came to them for some comfort and pancakes after a long, uncomfortable night out in the city.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Convict in hooker holdups could be freed from prison soon

A Saddle Brook man who admitted setting up and robbing prostitutes at Clifton and Hackensack motels by pretending to be a cop could be out of prison sooner than expected, following a state appeals court ruling that the Bergen County sentencing judge overdid it.

Sardami, now 26, must be re-sentenced without that qualification, they ordered. How much this could shave off Sarmadi’s term is unclear. He has been in state custody since the November 2009 sentencing. In early 2008, Sarmadi and three accomplices devised a plan to rob prostitutes they met at local hotels, the ruling says. Once the hookers arrived, they pretended they were police – showing fake “private investigator” badges – and claiming it was a sting. The crew included Christopher Gordnick, whose father, John, was involved in the shooting death of a limo driver by former NBA star Jayson Williams. One of the robbers also had a BB gun when they took money, a laptop and a PlayStation in the Clifton holdup on Jan. 28, police said. …

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Forgotten Writers: Dorothy Uhnak

Those twin worlds, depicted between 1937 and 1970, are insular ones. The O’Malleys, with their repeating names and vigorous breeding habits, are too busy taking care of their own — personally and professionally –to bother with what happens outside their Ryer Avenue environs or the codes, written or otherwise, of the department. A brutal opening scene sketches the boundaries of the mindset. When the elder Brian O’Malley, a hard-drinking, rough-living Irish cop, meets his grisly death at the hands of a black prostitute he frequents, “I don’t want any part of it,” thinks his brand-new partner, Aaron Levine. “God he wished they were on their way back to the precinct house. It was nearly time for the tour to end. He never thought that filthy precinct would feel like home, but it was where he wanted to be right now.”

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Gelman Claims 6 More Murders In Jailhouse Interviews

In two separate interviews from Rikers Island – first with the Daily News, and then the New York Post – Gelman claimed that he took six lives long before he went on his killing spree, most as part of his dealings as a high-rolling cocaine dealer.
Gelman told the Daily News that his first two kills were a hit-and-run in Sheepshead Bay. The paper matched it up to the hit-and-run killing of a mother and daughter in 2006, in which no arrests were made – but noted it is impossible to connect to Gelman with certainty. The other four deaths were to settle scores with rival drug dealers in the Bronx and East New York.
The madman also claimed that he was being tailed by the DEA during the entirety of the 28-hour killing spree, and that he was a successful cocaine dealer who regularly slept with high-end prostitutes.
