NY woman faces prostitution charge in Upper Saddle River
Wednesday January 4, 2012, 5:36 PM
UPPER SADDLE RIVER – Police have arrested a 40-year-old married woman for “in-call” prostitution services in the borough.

Yuhua Liu, of College Point, NY, was arrested on charges of engaging in prostitution on Monday. The charges fall under a disorderly persons offense, according to Upper Saddle River Police Chief Patrick Rotella.
Liu was advertising an escort service through the Internet at a business location on Route 17 and undercover officers observed numerous men arriving at the business, Rotella said.
Police arrested Liu after she offered to perform sexual services in exchange for money to an undercover police officer, Rotella said. Liu received a summons for operating a prohibited establishment in the borough.
Liu was processed and released on her own recognizance and will appear in Upper Saddle River Municipal Court on January 10.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: On the Beat With NYC’s Guardian Angels (Part 1)

Not everyone was happy to see the angels. Some people crossed the street to avoid the patrol. The angels explained that people often obviously avoid them, and they suspect these people are the ones up to no good.
The angels will only act, however, if they see a crime actually being committed. They can make a citizen’s arrest or intervene in a violent crime, but otherwise they simply report what they find to police.
The Guardian Angels have served their role in helping bring record low crime rates to the city. The NYC-based global organization has seen the city transform into a safer place during the 33 years since its establishment.
“I’ve seen a lot of changes,” said John “Shaggy” Wilfred, an angel of 12 years. “Where I grew up, there were drug dealers on every block. People couldn’t come out of their houses because [of] either drugs or prostitution.”

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Why Does Hollywood Hate Gay Sex?

Content Section
By now, you’ve probably heard about Shame, this generation’s Last Tango in Paris. Michael Fassbender plays a single (and often naked) Manhattan bachelor named Brandon obsessed with sex, and the movie offers a voyeuristic look into his anonymous encounters with various women. One afternoon he even has sex with a pretty blonde prostitute against the window of the Standard Hotel, for all of downtown New York to see.
On another drunken night, Brandon wanders into a gay club. He’s so desperate for sex, he’ll sleep with anybody—even a man. The scene is meant to illustrate how depraved his character has become, but the moment is a turning point for another reason. For the first time in the film, Shame is ashamed to show you what Brandon experiences. In a dark underground corridor, a guy unzips Brandon’s pants … and the camera cuts away. The screen fades to black.

Manhattan Strip Clubs: Now Dennis Rodman Is Coaching A Stripper Basketball Team!

Now Dennis Rodman Is Coaching A Stripper Basketball Team!
One month ago we announced that Spud Webb would be taking his talents to New York City to coach a basketball team composed of dancers from Rick’s Cabaret NYC.  Spud’s team was expected to take on teams made of dancers from the other Rick’s Cabaret locations around the United States, but the league (Rick’s Basketball Association) was disbanded when the NBA lockout officially ended just days after Webb was hired.
But just when it seemed like our dream of watching strippers play basketball would be nothing more than that – a dream – Dennis Rodman has come to save the day.
Recent reports have indicated that Rodman plans on creating his own basketball team with the sexy women from Headquarters Gentlemen’s Club, which is also located in New York.  The NBA Hall-Of-Famer is set to hold tryouts for women over 5’10″ who are interested in joining the team, and he has also challenged the women of Rick’s Cabaret NYC to take on his team of strippers in a charity match.

Manhattan Strip Clubs: 9. Working at a Manhattan Strip Club isn’t all it’s cracked up to be

9. Working at a Manhattan Strip Club isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. [BB]
I was riveted by this piece by Sara Copeland on what really goes on at Manhattan strip clubs.
“The first dancers I meet are Sky, Rain, Bijoux. and Candy (Pam, Kathy, Judith and Brenda). One is an ex-Mormon from Utah, two of them have kids, and one is 19. They arrive early, because if they are dressed—or rather undressed—and ready to go by 6, they get to pay a discounted house fee. A house fee is what the dancers pay the establishment for the privilege of working there. For the first few hours, hardly anyone enters. Dancers don’t even start stage shows until about nine, so until then, it’s like being in a sad, dead, neighborhood dive bar where the only patrons are women in lingerie, and if you go to the bathroom you are greeted with signs that say “Your boobs never EVER touch the customer,” all translated into Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, and Polish. This leaves plenty of time for all the moms to pull out their phones and compare baby pictures, while I die a little inside. “

Manhattan Strip Clubs: Here’s Why The New York Times’ Master Plan To Save College Sports Would Be A …

Additionally, high-quality facilities aren’t just eye-candy for potential recruits like Nocera argues. They have perfectly reasonable uses, including equipment to diagnose and rehabilitate injuries — which is a huge part of his plan.
So basically, that $3.65 million ain’t going to appear out of nowhere, it’s going to come from the scholarships and salaries currently going to athletes and employees associated with non-revenue sports.
The “vast majority” of scandals wouldn’t just go away. Any plan to fix college sports should deal with the scandals that plague them. But this one doesn’t — instead it argues that paying players will magically eliminate scandals by “realigning incentives.”
But the notion that what allegedly happened at Miami — where a sleazy booster took players to strip clubs, let them use his boat, and bought them prostitutes — was a result of not paying players is ridiculous.

Manhattan Strip Clubs: Working At a Manhattan Strip Club Isn’t All It’s Cracked Up to Be

I thought I could handle bartending at a strip club, but it turns out I couldn’t. I thought I was somehow morally superior to the dancers—untouchable. The customers disagreed. In short, I knew shit about shit. The following is a brief account of the three days I spent working in Manhattan strip club that shall remain unnamed.

As I exit, I see them trying to hail a cab, and I sneak off in the opposite direction. They see me and flag me down. “Hey! Come to Scores with us!”
“Oh, thanks so much, but I’m really hungry, I’m gonna go eat.”
“Scores has food! Come with!”
“Thanks! But maybe next time.”  The man looks at me angrily and says, “You don’t mean that,” and then jumps in a cab.
The next begins as more of the same: long hours of nothing, dancers—looking both expectant and defeated—giving me drink tickets, and of course, customers. Most of the regulars have a particular girl they come t …

Manhattan Massage Parlors: Guild sends poison pen letter to Sulzberger

A former ad sales person at the paper, Dan Lorenzo, has been promoted to editor-in-chief. Lorenzo and Hayden never disguised their contempt for one another, even as they worked cheek by jowl for nearly two decades.
Hayden said he hired Lorenzo 18 years ago to sell ads and that he still performs in a heavy metal band and has only a high school education.
Counters Lorenzo: “I’ve been selling advertising for 18 years. Most of that time I also acted as copy editor. In all honesty, my writing/proofreading skills are that of a high school student — and that puts me a few grades ahead of our former editor.”
Metropolis Nights, meanwhile, traces its roots to Dallas where a former US Marine, Robert Gartside, started a membership club that got fellow leathernecks discounts on everything from limos to massage parlors — for a monthly fee.
