According to the New York Post, Rodman is heading up a team of talented, topless ladies from HeadQuarters Gentlemen’s Club in New York City to take to the hardwood and compete against other strip clubs in the game of topless basketball. Originally, Rodman’s team was supposed to compete against Rick’s Cabaret, who at one point was said to have hired Spud Webb, the one-time Atlanta Hawk and 1986 Slam Dunk Contest champion, as their coach. However, since the NBA lockout was lifted back in early December, Rick’s has pulled out of the yet-to-be-formed league. Rodman, though, is still keeping the dream alive.
…
It’s a ridiculous gimmick, one which is sure to at least keep Rodman in the news for another day or two, but I have a hard time believing that this will even get off the ground. Though, it is a brilliant move on Rodman’s part, not only from a PR standpoint, but to get past that awkwardness of explaining why he spends so much time at the strip club. Hey, he’s scouting talent!

… WXYZ) – Just when you think you’ve seen it all from former Detroit Pistons bad boy Dennis Rodman, he has out done himself once again.
Rodman is known for his piercings, tattoos and colorful hairstyles. Now, the NBA Hall of Famer is getting back into basketball — this time as a coach for a topless women’s team.
Reports say Rodman is launching a team for New York’s Headquarters Gentlemen’s Club. He allegedly got the idea from rival strip club Rick’s Cabaret, who launched a league of its own with former Atlanta Hawk Spud Webb.
The former Piston told the New York Post he’s been a customer of the strip club for years and is currently scouting talent for his team. He is said to be looking for girls over 5-foot-10 to join his squad.

Not since her star turn as a single mom-cum-stripper who gets caught up in steamy political hijinks in opus Striptease have I been so excited about a Demi Moore movie role — albeit for real this time now she’s been cast as none other than Gloria Steinem in the Linda Lovelace biopic, Lovelace. A noted feminist icon — preaching to the converted here, I know — Steinem was vocally anti-porn and wrote a scathing piece in Ms. magazine about how Lovelace was beaten and coerced into making porn. There could be worse actresses chosen to play her, but do you think Moore has what it takes to take on one of the greats? [THR]
Figure skating-obsessed queens will be borderline super-jazzed/devastated to learn that their idol Johnny Weir has up and gotten married. Getting hitched to his Russian boyfriend Victor Voronov, the pair spent the holidays visiting each other’s parents before making it legit on New Year’s Eve. “I’m married!” Tweeted Johnny. Also telling …

We saw this interesting article today about Brandi Glanville – please read it at this link: Brandi Glanville marries Darin Harvey in ‘drunken’ Vegas wedding – New York Daily News
Here’s an excerpt:
So much for the sanctity of marriage.
“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” castmate Brandi Glanville said “I do” in a “drunken” Vegas wedding over the holiday weekend, but the former model is hardly embarrassed about her quickie nuptials.
“I’m married again!” the reality star tweeted to her followers late Sunday evening.
Glanville, 38, wed mixed martial arts manager Darin Harvey in what Harvey called “a crazy Vegas moment,” and the two celebrated shortly after at the Spearmint Rhino strip club.
“Honeymoons with strippers are the best!” Glanville tweeted.
But the marriage may be over before it even has a chance to begin.

Nevertheless, Kim got on board as she apparently wasn’t sure either. She even gave him a little strip tease that he didn’t even look at. But it was when Kris told him “I love you either way” that Jonathan got offended. So he turned it around on Kris, calling him unemployed and mocking the way he was eating.

Playing basketball while naked from the waist up sounds like an uncomfortable — if not painful — experience for women. But Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman plans to coach a topless team for HeadQuarters Gentlemen’s Club in New York City.
“I don’t know too many men that don’t like a good-looking woman running up and down around the court,” Rodman told the New York Post. He said players will wear shorts and skimpy shirts at first. “They’ll come out in a T-shirt or a tank top, but when the game starts, they’ll go topless.”
Rodman isn’t the first former NBA player to be associated with topless basketball. Another strip joint, Rick’s Cabaret, formed Rick’s Basketball Association in November and landed Spud Webb as one of its coaches.
That news barely caused a blip on the news radar screen, though at least one website shared its outrage. However, Webb isn’t close to the eccentric Rodman in his ability to draw attention, whether it’s donning a wedding dress, marrying Carmen Electra or having an affair with Madonna.

Dennis Rodman is making his return to basketball, this time coaching a topless women’s basketball team.
Rodman said that he plans to recruit his team from New York’s Headquarters Gentlemen’s Club, where he has been a patron for 30 years, according to The New York Post.
“I don’t know too many men that don’t like a good-looking woman running up and down around the court,” Rodman told the Post.
The idea was sparked by the strip club Rick’s Cabaret, which formed the topless Rick’s Basketball Association during the NBA lockout, to boost morale. Rick’s disbanded their team when the lockout ended.
“They’ll come out in a T-shirt or a tank top, but when the game starts, they’ll go topless,” Rodman said of his plan. “You don’t have to have too much experience, just know how to throw the ball into the hole.”
