Manhattan Strip Clubs: Sussex County prosecutor tries to reinstate Wayne man’s conviction after …

Mueller said he did not know when the high court may rule on the case, if it decides to hear it.
“It’s in their time frame,” he said.
At trial, Foglia did not deny killing Lott. He claimed he went to her home on Sept. 24, 2004, to make peace, but she provoked him with the table and in a rage he grabbed it and struck her.
His attorney, George Daggett, argued that this was not murder, but a lesser crime-of-passion manslaughter. The prosecution claimed Foglia went to Lott’s home with the intention of killing her.
The “bad acts” included that Foglia “neglected his son, had been unfaithful to Liotta, had been a male stripper, amassed substantial credit card debt and had forged his son’s name on a credit-card application;” and insinuations that Foglia had been a male prostitute, the ruling says.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Communist High School Teacher in New York Illegally Took His Students To Cuba

Lacey told Turner that the trip was a no-go after checking with her higher-ups, who said the travel ban prevented educational trips for underage students. Then Lt. Gov. David A. Patterson — now New York’s governor — even appealed on the school’s behalf, to no avail.
Turner, apparently, wouldn’t take no for an answer. From the report:
Turner responded by saying that he had to go to Cuba to see Castro one more time before he died. Turner continued that, “you know Ms. Lacey, I’m a Communist.”
The teacher then turned to a group called Pastors for Peace to fund the trip and held meetings with students outside of school to organize their journey to Havana.
The students traveled through the Bahamas to Castro’s hood, where they interviewed homeless guys and prostitutes, danced in jazz clubs, and generally had a grand old time.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Communist Teacher Blamed for Improper Cuba Trip

Beacon students had gone to Cuba in 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2005, apparently with permission from the school and the Department of Education. Gov. David A. Paterson’s stepdaughter went on the 2005 trip, and he had placed a call to school officials in 2007, urging them to approve the trip that year as well.
Ms. Lacey, a co-founder of the school who became principal in 2004, told investigators that she had not been aware of the restrictions on high school travel to Cuba. (She said she became fully aware of the 2007 trip only after the students’ return, though she had heard rumors that it was still being organized.)
On the trip, the students, among other things, interviewed a 15-year-old prostitute and a homeless man in Havana and jammed with musicians at a renowned Afro-Cuban jazz club.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: The last of the Mohegans – Casino

Liberal yuppies always seek wisdom from Native American traditions as it is presumed that any other culture is wiser, deeper and more spiritual than their own, especially if it is oddly mystic. Too they know any hint of Native American blood in them can get them into Harvard with an 850 SAT score.
Government, fond of patting itself on the back for social justice and for being the moral authority, likes to wet its beak in all aspects of vice. New York now taxes cigarettes at $11 a pack (not including the Feds take), it rakes in an inordinate amount of alcohol sales, runs the numbers in the form of state lotteries, and probably only has a “war on drugs” because it cannot figure a way to muscle a cut of that underground business. Government lost money in prostitution too when it took the Mustang Ranch. Only our government could lose money selling hookers and booze with a zero cost basis.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: NJ Supreme Court Upholds Perth Amboy Man’s Manslaughter Conviction

NJ Supreme Court Upholds Perth Amboy Man’s Manslaughter Conviction
TRENTON – The state Supreme Court upheld a Perth Amboy man’s conviction for killing a prostitute in 2004, rejecting his argument that it should be overturned because he was not permitted to call a psychiatrist during his defense.
In the unanimous ruling released Monday, the justices found that Graciano Martinez-Rosales’ argument was without merit.
Article continues beneath advertisement
Martinez-Rosales attempted to suppress a confession he made before his 2006 trial and enlisted the aid of a psychiatrist, who testified at the suppression hearing. Superior Court Judge Frederick De Vesa found that Martinez-Rosales’ testimony that police threatened him with the electric chair in order to obtain the confession was not credible.
De Vesa then refused to allow Martinez-Rosales’s psychiatrist to testify at trial because he had not made a clinical diagnosis and would only be offering opinions based on generalizations about Martinez-Rosales’ mental state at the time he made the confession.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: The Root: The Link Between Race and HIV

The study found that when other racial ethnic groups are confronted with the same social and economic conditions faced by black Americans — social determinants of health, in public-health lingo — their HIV risk soars. The HIV rate among whites skyrocketed more than seven times from 0.23 to 1.7 percent, startlingly close to the 2.1 percent HIV rates faced by blacks and Latinos in these neighborhoods. Welcome to our America.
The study included black, Hispanic and white heterosexuals who are not intravenous-drug users or prostitutes in 23 cities, living in neighborhoods disproportionately impacted by both poverty and HIV. Seventy-seven percent of the participants were black, 15 percent were Hispanic, 4 percent were white and 3 percent represented other races. The majority of the residents in the communities surveyed were black.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: ELISABETH HASSELBECK SLAMS KATHY GRIFFIN

ELISABETH HASSELBECK SLAMS KATHY GRIFFIN
Posted on Tuesday, July 20th, 2010
By Garrett Hawley
NEW YORK, NY – Kathy Griffin did an excellent job of putting her foot in her mouth!
Kathy Griffin is the star of her own reality TV show, “My Life on the D-List” which airs on Bravo. During an episode last week, Griffin joked that Republican Senator Scott Brown “has two daughters that are prostitutes.” That’s one giant tub of hot water that Griffin wishes she never jumped into and now the backlash has commenced.
Her comments have received huge criticism and she just may be upgraded to the “A-List” with all the attention she’s getting from them.
CNN reporter Dana Bash burst out into laughter at Griffin’s comment during their interview, which refers to Brown’s statements during his Senate victory speech in Massachusetts earlier this year that his daughters were “available.”

Manhattan Strip Clubs: RENT for MJCC teens

Katherine Price, 18, of Sandy Springs, portrays Maureen, an eccentric bisexual performing artist. As a recent graduate from the Westminster Schools who is headed off to Harvard in the fall, Katherine says the themes of Rent truly resonate with her. “I’m in a very transitional point in my life, between high school and college, and it’s a little scary to have no idea what my life will be like six months from now. Being in “Rent” has been a constant reminder that there’s ‘no day but today’ – to live for the present and enjoy it!”
“My main goal every night is to tell the story of these characters,” said Mary Malloy, a 17-year-old Dunwoody native and recent graduate of North Springs High. Malloy will portray Mimi, an HIV-infected stripper with a drug addiction.

Manhattan Strip Clubs: Get on the pole! Strip-club fitness craze comes to Brooklyn

Enthusiasts like Jessica Morabito of Bensonhurst said the pole can initially be daunting. “At first you think you can’t do it, but I was amazed when I could climb it,” she said.
The pole can also have a bad rap. “I usually associated it with strip clubs, but once you see the classes, you can see it is not trashy,” Morabito said.
The workouts are strictly PG-13, but Mancuso said clients must be 18 and over to join in on the pole sessions.
“I feel it’s not for young girls, it’s more for adults,” she said. “But I don’t think there’s anything dirty or raunchy.”
Exotic dancers are certainly encouraged to attend — after all, Mancuso said, they might learn a thing or two.
“I can make a better stripper,” she boasted. “Just because there’s a pole [in a strip club] doesn’t mean a lot of women know what to do with it.”
