Manhattan Strip Clubs: Kendra Wilkinson’s husband unfaithful?

Glamour model Kendra Wilkinson’s other half may have been getting a bit on the side after he was caught with strippers.
American football player Hank Basset has visited strip clubs on two separate occasions, one of which was when his wife was eight months pregnant, Life & Style reports.
A friend of Basset told the news provider: “Hank went to the private VIP room with two girls. Everyone knows what goes on in those rooms – I don’t need to spell out what happened.”
Dolce, a stripper at one of the clubs, also commented on his unfaithful ways.
She is quoted as saying: “Hank was here for sure … It’s not supposed to happen up in here – if they catch you, they’ll kick you out – but that’s what private VIP rooms are for.”
Although her husband “loves strippers“, Wilkinson herself is no stranger to sex scandals, after a tape surfaced in 2008 that saw the model getting a bit of nookie.

Manhattan Strip Clubs: Health Plan That Helped the Poor Is Cut

A top state law enforcement official responsible for tracking down cigarette bootleggers was abruptly fired — just hours after a newspaper article was published in which he said that cigarette-tax enforcement was “totally at a standstill.” [New York Post]
Crime & Public Safety
From the moment Ben Novack Jr. was found bludgeoned, bound and gagged last year in a hotel suite in Westchester County where he was helping run an Amway convention, the details of his life and violent death have grown increasingly peculiar. A letter surfaced shortly after the murder saying that his mother had also been murdered. Police reports and court testimony described Mr. Novack’s collection of Batman-themed material (the second largest in the country, include a full-size Batmobile replica) and his taste in pornography featuring women missing limbs. On Thursday, prosecutors announced the indictment of Mr. Novack’s wife, a former stripper, and three others. [NYT]

Manhattan Escorts: Priest’s double life leads to $1.3 million theft from church

If found guilty, Gray, who expressed dissatisfaction over the way the Catholic church had given him undesirable assignments, could get up to 20 years in prison, All Headline News said.
Over a period of seven years Gray filched $1.3 million to lead his secret life in New York.
Money from parishioner donations were spent on stays at the Waldorf-Astoria and W Hotel; meals at Tavern on the Green, suits from Brooks Brothers and Armani, laptops and cell phones among others, AHN said.
Gray also leased the Sacred Heart’s steeple in a secret deal with a company in California, which netted him $200,000. The deal was not disclosed with the Hartford Archdiocese, AHN said.
Gray also opened two separate credit card accounts. One was for a man he met at a strip club, and the other was for a man he met through a male escort service.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Illegal Immigration is a Confusing Position for Police

Proactive law enforcement leaders and administrators throughout the nation clearly know now that they have many obligations far beyond the scope that they may have imagined or perceived only a decade ago.  Adequately understanding the metamorphosis of traditional policing to a model of anti-terrorism policing initiatives, and the true sophistication of this new transnational threat is not easy.  The reality is they are tasked today with a more global approach to crime and interdiction that uniquely challenges skills, resources and personnel.
More so on the southern borders at this time is the illegal immigration threat that also manifests itself with the terrorism threat.  Not being soothsayers police must be able to determine immigration status of suspected human traffickers, narcotraffickers, assassins/enforcers, weapons smugglers, and transnational criminal recidivists that routinely return sometimes just days after being returned to their country.  Police would of course need “reasonable suspicion.”  The majority of these criminals will not necessarily be “obvious” in their modus operandi.
The recruiting, transportation, and eventual harboring of “trafficked” persons by force, as well as for prostitution and forced labor and servitude, must be confronted on the frontlines.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Swedish sequel leaves loose ends

Both films were sufficiently powerful that they promptly generated Hollywood remakes. The Americanized vamp film Let Me In is due in theatres in October and David Fincher is reportedly handling remake duties on Dragon Tattoo. It’s doubtful anyone is going to rush to remake The Girl who Played with Fire. Directed by Tomas Alfredson’s brother Daniel, the immediate sequel to Dragon Tattoo is based on the second book of the late Swedish novelist Stieg Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy focusing on crusading journalist Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist) and punk computer hacker Lisbeth Salander (Noomi Rapace).
Salander saved Blomkvist’s Swedish bacon in the last film, and in this followup, he is obliged to reciprocate when Lisbeth is named as the chief suspect in a double murder. The victims were a reporter and researcher working for Blomkvist’s Millennium magazine on a story about the underground prostitution industry in Sweden. Because the two were going to name names of prominent johns, the list of suspects is long. But it is Salander’s fingerprints that are discovered on the murder weapon.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Beneath the calm, Nordic noir

The second story is even more outre than the first one, although perhaps it’s not surprising that a film starring a Goth would be gothic. Like the book on which it’s based, it is violent, complex, barely believable and filled with bizarre characters, like Niedermann (Micke Spreitz), a blond, muscular giant seemingly impervious to pain, and Zala (Georgi Staykov), a shadowy criminal boss with a temperament, not to mention a disfigurement, that wouldn’t be out of place in a Bond villain.
And Sweden is just as fraught. The Girl Who Played with Fire uncovers a prostitution ring that takes advantage of immigrant women and involves a cross-section of the Swedish power elite, all of whom seem to be involved in some way in either kinky sex or its coverup. As in the first movie, the plot has been pared down a bit, and a good thing, too: The book devotes several pages to Lisbeth shopping at Ikea for furniture, for instance, and includes a bizarre episode in which she gets breast implants that make her feel more womanly. For a writer who took up the feminist cause, Larsson could be a little tone-deaf.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Miller Time: Spitzer Running for New York Mayor

Former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer—who resigned after getting caught soliciting prostitute Ashley Dupré and violating interstate-trafficking laws—wants to be the mayor of New York City. When asked for comment about his mayoral ambitions, Spitzer’s spokesperson declined to comment.

Davis was arrested after Spitzer gave authorities the names of the escort-service owners and prostitutes who he had used for sex. Davis was convicted of promoting prostitution in the third degree. So why is it justified for Davis to run for office, but not Spitzer?

“I’m running for office to give a voice to the causes New Yorkers care about: lowering taxes, legalizing marijuana and prostitution—ways of bringing new revenue into the state,” she said.

Side-note: Eliot Spitzer now works for his father, Bernard Spitzer, a real estate magnate worth over $500 million. In an ironic twist, Ashley Dupré (the prostitute who brought down Spitzer) is studying at NYU to be a real estate broker. She told Page Six that “New York City real estate has always been an interest of mine.” One can imagine the scene at a real estate settlement if Dupré represents a client in the Spitzers’ real estate holdings.

She opened the door for her husband’s killers. She helped them bind him with duct tape. Then, when his protests in a Westchester hotel suite grew too loud, she callously handed them a pillow to muffle his final screams.
Federal prosecutors made those accusations yesterday as they unsealed an indictment against stripper-turned-millionaire Narcy Novack — describing her as an ice-blooded killer who plotted, joined in on, and then hoped to reap a fortune from the bludgeoning death of her wealthy husband.
Novack, still surgically sultry at 53, was so cavalier in her brutality that when her spouse drew his last breath, she snatched his bracelet — which spelled his name, “B-E-N,” in diamonds — and tossed it to one of the killers as a keepsake, prosecutors charged as she was hauled into federal court in her hometown of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Manhattan Strip Clubs: 2010 Free Agents: Much ado about nothing, but Lebron.

… Maybe it was inevitable considering the people he calls advisers.  Most players have had some sort of a wiser father figure to provide a second opinion.  Sometimes it literally is their father  Ya know, someone older than say 25.
Peyton Manning has Archie Manning.  John Elway had his father Jack.  Magic Johnson will tell you about Earvin Johnson Sr. If that weren’t enough, he had a close relationship with savvy businessman and Laker Owner Jerry Buss.  Michael Jordan had his father and Shaq had the sarge (although it didn’t seem to help Shaq so much).  The list goes on…
Lebron has a bunch of morons his own age.  Apparently someone calling himself “World Wide Wes” provides Lebron with pearls of wisdom.  No one told Lebron anyone calling himself “WWW” in a business meeting is the tantamount to introducing yourself by your stripper name.  Lebron would have been better off hiring someone who plays a businessman on TV.
