Manhattan Strip Clubs: The Post Picks Up on the Russky Love

… Welcome to the New Russian Wave. According to night-life insiders, a surge of rich Muscovites has arrived in New York City, and they’re taking over where the beleaguered investment bankers left off – flashing credit cards at clubs, buying up bling at Bulgari, and draining wine cellars of their best bottles all over town.”
Among the evidence is a Russian princess named Kristina Kovalenko drinking $5,000 bottles of cognac mixed with apple juice at our favorite Russian joint, Mari Vanna, and spending $6,500 on a lunch at Nello; model Irina Shayk (and girlfriend of soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo) buying three pairs of shoes at Christian Louboutin per visit; and an unnamed Russian billionaire renting the roof deck of a strip club and spending $20,000 on cigars, champagne and girls–”There were like five girls for every guy. They were very generous, definitely big tippers,” said a dancer named Cynthia. The billionaire is described as a “40-something, slim and handsome, with chiseled features”–might this be Mikhail Prokhorov?

Manhattan Strip Clubs: LeBron James, ESPN to Air "The Decision": Obnoxious Summer of Me Reaches Climax

Once he graduated to the professional ranks, the exposure has only gotten wider and more voluminous.
The guy could quite literally spend his every waking nanosecond on a television interview circuit.
If he were so inclined, I’m sure one of the networks would give him his own show to do whatever he damn well pleased—ESPN would probably give him the Sportscenter desk if he asked.
I promise you my man can’t walk down any city street without drawing a crowd of back-slappers and well-wishers.
So how much adulation and adoration is enough?
More ominously, what happens if the Chosen One doesn’t get it?
To me, this almost psychotic need for attention screams of personal insecurity that registers a staggering magnitude.
We’re talking self-esteem issues that would make a coked-out stripper/escort whose step-father had boundary issues count her psychological blessings.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: REVIEW: Girl Who Played with Fire Goes Through the Tiresome Swede-Goth Motions

Well, no. And those who were as underwhelmed by The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo as I was aren’t likely to be won over by the second movie in the series, The Girl Who Played with Fire, this one directed by Daniel Alfredson. There’s no grim investigation at the heart of this movie; instead, it’s an elaborate cat-and-mouse game, one that opens with everyone’s favorite inexpressive, milky-skinned, mighty-mite computer hacker Lisbeth Salander (Noomi Rapace) packing up, purposefully, to leave some exotic island retreat. (Amazingly, she even has a tan.) It turns out there’s some unfinished business back home involving her sicko former guardian (Peter Andersson). It will also turn out that she’s being framed for the murder of two journalists who were about to break a big prostitution scandal, and her friend, admirer and sometime lover, magazine publisher Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist), hopes to protect her — not that she needs anyone’s protection. Lisbeth, as we know from the first movie (as well as, of course, th …
