Ben Novack Jr.’s body was found beaten, bloodied and bound by duct tape on July 12, in a Rye Brook, N.Y. Hilton hotel room. Since the death of her husband, Narcisa Cira Veliz Pacheco Novack, who went from Hialeah stripper to an hoteliers wife, claimed her husband had been killed while she was away from the suite. On Thursday, police arrested Novack in Fort Lauderdale, her brother Cristobal Veliz and another relative, Denis Ramirez, in Brooklyn, and were searching for Joel Gonzalez. Police allege Novack let two men into the couple’s hotel room, watched as her husband was beaten to death, and then removed his signature diamond bracelet and gave it to one of the killers. In a surprise twist, The Miami Herald reported that authorities may have enough clues now to show that the death of Ben Jr.’s mom 3 months prior to his slaying was also murder. Police apparently also foiled a scheme to kill Ben and Narcy Novack’s daughter, who won a legal battle against Narcy to become the beneficiary of Ben Jr.’s estate.

KENDRA WILKINSON’S HUSBAND VISITING STRIP CLUBS?
Thursday July 8, 2010
KENDRA Wilkinson is furious with husband Hank Baskett — after finding out he’s been visiting strip clubs, according to bombshell new report.
Life & Style magazine sensationally reports in its latest issue that Hank has visited at least two strip clubs — once while his wife was eight months pregnant with their now-six-month-old son Hank Baskett IV.
An acquaintance of Hank’s, Carl Miller, says he accompanied Baskett to Rick’s Cabaret in Houston on Nov. 28 and then to the King of Diamonds Gentleman’s Club in Miami in early February.
…
“Hank loves strippers and strip clubs. And he doesn’t see anything wrong with it.”
Kendra recently admitted that she’s “embarrassed” she worked as a stripper and experimented with drugs.
“I kind of lost myself for a little bit. I wasn’t a druggie stripper,” she said. “I was a very good person doing it. But I was kind of still embarrassed about it.

Aside from a brief opening flashback this second film of the trilogy thankfully avoids the brutal and at times overwhelming scenes of rape and other violence aimed towards women… which is odd seeing as the plot here involves the seedy world of white slavery and forced prostitution. But that’s a good thing as instead the movie is able to focus on the murders, lies, and buried truths that tie Salander and the victims together. The main conflict here is a present day threat which allows for more danger and suspense than was found in Dragon Tattoo‘s decades-old mystery. Scenes of computer hacking and library research are replaced with surveillance, exploration, a car chase, and more. It’s a stronger atmosphere for a thriller, and it works to the benefit of the movie’s pacing and overall enjoyment. It’s still a smart and twisted tale, but it also gives the audience better and more suspenseful adrenaline beats.

He is betting that he knows what the future of business news looks like. If he fails, many will celebrate. But if he succeeds, it’s inevitable that critics will charge — as some have already — that Blodget is once again asking for trouble.
‘What Goes Around’
In 2008, less than a year after Blodget launched the Business Insider, Spitzer resigned over a prostitution scandal, which people imagined would be a cause for celebration for Blodget. He says he took no joy in his old adversary’s fall. “I was absolutely shocked,” he says. “I really thought he was on course to being president of the United States. And I was sort of feeling, OK, I’m a step along the way up there for him. Right after it happened, I got a bunch of e-mails from friends saying, ‘Wow, what goes around comes around. Amazing!’ And then I got one saying, ‘Well, don’t think this lets you off the hook, you scumbag. He was just boning whores! That’s nothing compared to what you did.’”

Now, we’re at free agency. By now everyone’s heard the story. Two weeks into the NBA’s highly anticipated buy-a-superstar bonanza, James has announced that he will give his decision on what team he will play for in a one-hour special on ESPN.
If you listened to the media and fan reaction, you would think that James officially became the worst person in sports. Worse than the retired football player in New York who had a messy situation with an underage prostitute. Worse than the college kid from Virginia who allegedly murdered his former girlfriend. Worse than the quarterback from Pittsburgh who can’t keep himself out sexual assault cases. Worse than the recovering sex addict who cheated on his wife with two million women, and has yet to recover his stroke on the golf course.

GITTOES: In the Pashtun culture, it’s almost impossible to get women to act because they’re not allowed to do anything on their own. Normal women would never be allowed to act in films. So in order to have women in these Pashtun movies, they immediately hire prostitutes. They’re not street prostitutes; they’re more like Japanese geisha. And No-No is the best. Now she’s made a name for herself as a comedienne. Everyone jokes that No-No—it’s actually n, u—n, u, and does mean “no, no,” but everyone jokes that it really means, “yes, yes.” No-No is the great Pashtun beauty. She is the Marilyn Monroe of the Pashtuns. She’s a great singer and dancer, but she’s also a very professional hooker.
…
Another woman in my film, Kireen, who is a young mother and a widow, is not a prostitute and we make that very clear in the film. In fact, she hates the whole profession of acting. It was kind of funny when we showed this film at Telluride and Kireen says, “I don’t want my daughters to grow up to be actresses.”

Anti-Wall Street sentiment is high in the wake of the U.S. economic crisis, and the House of Representatives just approved a landmark overhaul of financial regulations that would impose tighter controls on financial firms and reduce their profits, boost consumer protections and force banks to reduce risky trading and investing activities.
Republican strategist John McLaughlin said he sees that fervor appealing to liberal New York Democrats. “The winner of that primary will have to appeal to that constituency,” he said. The Democratic nominee is considered the frontrunner for in the general election in November.
The most prominent New York attorney general was perhaps Democrat Eliot Spitzer, nicknamed the Sheriff of Wall Street for his efforts prosecuting financial malfeasance. He leveraged the position into a successful run for governor in 2006 but resigned amid a prostitution scandal within two years.

Too much information? Not for “The Love Boat” doctor. Bernie Kopell, making his New York stage debut in “Viagara Falls,” a comedy about old men and erectile-dysfunction pills, says he’s occasionally popped the performance-enhancing drugs himself. “Sometimes people of a certain age need a jet assist,” he said. “That’s a phrase that’s used in the aeronautics business.”
Kopell, 77 and best known as “Doc” from “The Love Boat,” has gotten cozy with the subject after performing “Viagara Falls” over the past two years. In the play, he portrays Moe Crubbs, a widower who suspects his best friend has a terminal illness and decides to throw him a birthday party involving a call girl and a “black market” bottle of the aforementioned pills. The show, which toured mostly in Canada, opens July 21 at the Little Shubert Theatre.

Despite an onslaught of media reports on her private life, Anna Chapman grew up an average young Russian woman, according to her mother.
While Chapman quickly emerged as the most notorious of the 11 accused members of a Russian spy ring arrested last month, Irina Kushchenko says her daughter is “no Mata Hari,” referring to the stripper executed by France for spying on Germany’s behalf during World War I.
Kushchenko insists her daughter is innocent and has not been involved in espionage, according to an Associated Press report. She also said she plans to file a lawsuit following the distribution of images and videos on her daughter’s private life, the likes of which have created a tabloid frenzy.
