June 30: Graffiti was found on two storage containers at the Garden City Village Yard.
June 30: Unknown persons activated several unauthorized gift cards at a register in Sears causing a $2,700 loss to the store.
June 30: Police Officer Hennessy observed a male 20-year-old from Roosevelt make an unsafe lane change on Stewart Avenue in the vicinity of Washington Avenue. Upon an investigation, it was determined that the subject had five driver’s license suspensions and was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation.
June 30: During an investigation in Garden City Parking Field 2S, Garden City detectives arrested a female 43-year-old from Hempstead for prostitution and a male 40-year-old from Mineola for patronizing a prostitute. In addition, the female was charged with an outstanding Hempstead warrant for prostitution.
July 1: After a lengthy investigation, Garden City detectives determined the identity of a subject wanted for the larceny from a parked vehicle at an Arthur Street residence in January. The subject, a male 32-year-old from Hempstead, was then apprehended and charged with larceny. As a result, numerous similar larcenies in the Garden City were closed by this arrest.
