… CNN) – Actress June Havoc, whose career began on a vaudeville stage as Baby June 95 years ago, died Sunday at 97, according to her manager.
Havoc’s adult career included success on Broadway, television and film, but she was often overshadowed by her sister, the stripper Gypsy Rose Lee.
The story of how her headstrong mother traveled the vaudeville circuit with her young daughters became the basis for the classic musical “Gypsy.”
Havoc’s last TV acting job was in 1990 on the soap opera “General Hospital.”

That question was all about the phrasing, because it allowed Stern to say that investigations turned up no reason why Prokhorov shouldn’t be able to buy into the league and it allowed Kroft to get the visual of an uncomfortable man trying to avoid discussing character. Why such issues should matter in a league that counts racist slumlord Donald Sterling and other character-challenged men as owners is another question, but it was pretty clear that Stern didn’t want to delve into that line of questioning.
There were other interesting moments in the interview, although nothing that qualified as jaw-dropping. Prokhorov admitted paying bribes in the mid-90’s because doing business in Russia was like doing business in the Wild West, called his arrest for cavorting with prostitutes a “police misunderstanding,” and even bragged about how fun it was to spend some time in jail. That trip to jail caused his partners in the mining business to force him out, a move that came just before the economic meltdown and left Prokhorov with much more money than anyone else involved in the business.

The video for Fight For This Love also topped the video download chart, beating the trailer for blockbuster Twilight: New Moon and The X Factor final.
Paul Jevons, Orange’s director of products and services, said: “Mobile searches are a real barometer of fame and reflect the public’s fascination with celebrities when on the move.
“With Britain’s Got Talent on the horizon, the nation’s other sweetheart, Amanda Holden, could well challenge Cheryl for the number one spot.”
Fourth on Orange’s list of most-searched celebrities was Harry Potter actress Emma Watson, followed by Amanda Holden in fifth and High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens in sixth.
Seventh place went to the second male Twilight lead, Taylor Lautner, while TV presenter Danielle Lloyd came eighth.
Rounding out the list were Secret Diary of a Call Girl actress Billie Piper and singer/actress Lindsay Lohan.

In some ways, Prokhorov is as Old World as the Safra estate. He doesn’t carry a mobile phone and says he has looked at the Internet only three times, even though he has a blog which he updates by handing scraps of paper to his assistants. His office desk has no computer. Instead, there are papers and a large plate of fruit and nuts.
No Werther’s Originals? Too bad. You can’t truly be an old man until you’ve got a pocket full of butterscotch wrappers.
But there’s so much more, like the fact that Prokhorov made his first fortune in the late 80’s as a producer of stonewashed jeans, which is basically the perfect way to have made a lot of money back then.
Not to mention he was arrested on suspicion of running a prostitution ring, which turned out to be untrue. Plus the president of Russia’s largest private bank said Prokhorov’s purchase of the Nets was “playing with toys” and not “business decisions at all.” Oh, and he bought a $45 million yacht he never uses because he gets seasick.

My family joined the long lines of mentally ill, prostitutes, and crack addicts at the welfare office. We were deemed ineligible for the Section 8 housing voucher program because we didn’t have the right documentation. It was like we didn’t exist and very little has changed for the nation’s 1.6 million homeless. New York City now issues one-way airline tickets for homeless families to other cities as long as they promise not to return. Mayor Bloomberg vowed to slash homelessness by two-thirds, but since he took office the number of homeless people using city shelters has increased by 45 percent and a recent audit by the city’s comptroller states that the Bloomberg administration has turned a blind eye on monitoring nonprofit agencies and given more than $152 million in “handshake deals.” In addition, according to a study of 9,000 families in six cities by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, it costs nearly twice as much to house a family in an emergency shelter than it does to provide permanent housing.

More tellingly, Constantine was in Spitzer’s car during that extraordinary downtown journey from Spitzer’s apartment March 12, 2008, passing the ogling gaggles (including news helicopters, O.J-like). “The faces generally wore smiles, but many of those were the nervous or guilty smiles of people witnessing a motorcade headed to a public execution,” he writes. A few moments later, Spitzer resigned and Constantine began a suicide watch over the fallen governor.
Fourteen months earlier, of course, was Spitzer’s virtual coronation. Even as he rode to a record victory as New York’s 54th executive, the Democrat was allegedly carrying a secret that eluded even his best friend. Constantine admits he has no proof, but posits that Spitzer’s liaisons with prostitutes began during his final year as Attorney General. Constantine theorizes that the recognition that he would eventually be caught clouded Spitzer’s judgment. The rational, clear-eyed Harvard and Princeton grad was replaced by an “Imposter,” trudging though his once-ambitious agenda and fomenting unnecessary combat.

The outreach teams had long since memorized his location and his habits. For a long stretch, he had been camped out on Seventh Avenue, until a city sanitation crew disposed of his belongings, which had become an eyesore on the sidewalk. Then he found a new spot nearby, under the fire escape of a theater. Now he is usually seen around the corner of 48th Street and Seventh Avenue, a block or two from the heart of Times Square.
During the day, Heavy is typically seen wearing a red knit cap, sipping coffee and smoking a cigarette, sitting on a makeshift chair near his black-and-red suitcase. At night, outreach workers often find him nestled within a thin cardboard box, near the scaffolding of a building under construction.
Heavy was far from alone on the streets of Times Square in the 1990s, when he began sleeping there frequently in the midst of a roiling mess of drug dealing, prostitution and crime.

Trump Soho, a 46-story glass needle in New York’s money ghetto, will open in two weeks.
Only a third of its 391 condo/hotel rooms have been sold. Bank of America just unloaded a $75 million loan on the project for a fraction of its value. The developer is restructuring another $350 million of debt.
The Donald, of course, is fine. Because he didn’t put any of his own money into the project.
The Donald is also okay because, unlike homeowners who fret about the morality of walking away from mortgages, he views that the lenders who loaned the project all that money as adult business-people who did it because they were trying to make a profit.
They screwed up. They trusted him. That’s their problem.

This is the case for two reasons, the first being the endearing way she talked about her husband at the Academy Awards. This was just days before the story started to churn its way to the mega news story it has turned out to be. She thanked him for “having her back” and made innuendo’s about how attracted she is to him. Although she was genuine in saying this words, what comes back to haunt her is that Jesse was not genuine in receiving them. This is a hurt that goes beyond betrayal.
Another reason that Sandra suffered embarrassment is that the women who are reporting sexual liaisons with her husband, have stated they had unprotected sex with James. The women in question here work in the adult entertainment industry and are at high risk for sexually transmitted diseases. It is heart wrenching enough for the man you love to betray you, but to add complete disregard for your health safety really adds insult to injury. This has to be one of the most un-caring acts done to another human being.
