(Media-Newswire.com) – NEW YORK, 8 March 2010 Last week in Guatemala I visited a UNICEF centre that houses girls as young as thirteen who have been rescued from brothels.  The stories of suffering are simply unimaginable — horrific situations of rape, prostitution, torture and lost innocence.
With the help of UNICEF and its partners, many of these girls are now being given the opportunity to heal and build a better life through education and care.  While these girls have been rescued, unfortunately so many more remain trapped in an underground world of abuse.

Manhattan Strip Clubs: "2010 Academy Awards red carpet review."

HALLELUJAH! And there were angels singing on high! I love love love this dress! It’s freaking blowing my mind! This dress, the hair, everything is exactly what Oscar Red Carpet means to me. I love the hair so much I want to have an excuse to wear mine like that! The dress is totally different. It would look like a potato sack on anyone over 120lbs but on SJP it looks FAB! Seriously, I want the dress and the hair and the spray tan. Maybe not the 10 lbs of eye liner, but that’s a personal preference.
Anna Kendrick – Grade C
Yeah, not so much. If she had a tan maybe she could do this. I hate the lace that peaks out of the slit. The lace reminds me of Madonna circa 1986. Those shoes look like stripper polls too! If I could rip off the lace on the slit and dye this dress navy blue or purple I’d probably love it!

Manhattan Strip Clubs: The Hurt Locker Blows Up the Oscars

And by the time Sigourney Weaver wearing a bold red gown (didn’t she get the memo from the rest of the cast?) appeared onstage to present Best Art Direction to Avatar, there was a sense of relief that the 3D blockbuster was not slighted or ignored by the Academy. Tom Ford, fashion designer and director of A Single Man, and Sarah Jessica Parker, fashion muse, presented Best Costume to Sandy Powell for The Young Victoria. “I already have 2 of these,” said Powell. You can pass your third statuette to me, if you ask me.
The hosts appeared again to show us a spoof of Paranormal Activity. A slapstick act well done, including the watching-the-awards-show-from-backstage scene. In a conspicuous and vulgar move to boost ratings, young starlets and eye candies Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart appeared onstage looking radiant (and constipated), sending millions of Twilight fans gushing worldwide. They presented a very random Horror Movies montage, which included clips of Psycho, Rosemary Baby, The Exorcist and…Twilight. Seriously?! I always thought Twilight was a teenager stripper movie (oh the abs!). Somebody return me my $10 movie ticket money stat!

Manhattan Strip Clubs: Oscar fashion

On a side note, Sidibe is always upbeat in interviews (including with this reporter)…that may change with time, but for now, she wears a good attitude and confidence as well as any dress and that makes her look even better.
On to the show.
7:50
They guys are looking pretty tame in a range of traditional tuxedos with bow ties. The ones who opted for suited looks and long ties seem a little Oscar inappropriate.  Of course Zac Efron is young which makes it a lot easier for him to pull it off.
Diane Kruger’s cream and black gown made her look not so hot.  Or just “hippy” and “pregnant” said Fink.
Sarah Jessica Parker looked fantastic in Chanel Couture.
While Charlize Theron’s , dress while certainly risky, went too far with a gown that highlighted her breasts. “Where’s the stripper pole?” Fink said.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Disc Picks

Jimi Hendrix, Valleys Of Neptune – While production-wise it’s superior to other posthumous Jimi Hendrix collections, there’s not a lot that’s new or essential on Valleys of Neptune. Alternate versions of Stone Free, Fire and Red House, another take on Cream’s Sunshine of Your Love. As great as it is, we’ve heard this stuff before. Re-releases of Jimi’s greatest albums like Are You Experienced? and Electric Ladyland also hit stores today, and those remain the definitive works.
Greatest Hits
The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Dirty Shirt Rock ‘N’ Roll: The First Ten Years – For fans and uninitiated alike, this 22-track best of collection offers a great, greasy overview of the longtime purveyor of sleazy, skinned-knee swamp rock. Spencer howls as if hell-hounds are at his heels and plays his guitar like he’s sexing his way through a brothel. Brilliant, blistering blues rock for all who enter.

The girlfriend, Tracey Latisha Johnson, 30, of Lodi, was charged with engaging in prostitution and released on her own recognizance after her arrest.
The investigation began after Englewood police received a report that a city juvenile was being advertised as part of the prostitution services, and that Paul was responsible for the postings, Molinelli said.

Once it became clear that Johnson was there to engage in prostitution, she and Paul were arrested without incident, Molinelli said.

D’Angelo Apprehended for Trying to Pick Up Prostitute
A supposed lady’s man like D’Angelo seems to be just as hard up for love like the rest of us. The R&B star was booked on charges of trying to solicit sex from a prostitute Saturday night.
According to the NYPD, D’Angelo (real name Michael Archer) was driving through Greenwich Village when he spotted a woman and offered her $40 for sex. The woman turned out to be an undercover police officer, and D’Angelo was booked on a count of patronizing a prostitute in the third degree. He was released and is maintaining his innocence and has pleaded not guilty to the charge.
“We know there is a lot of speculation in regard to the arrest this past weekend,” Lindsay Guion, D’Angelo’s manager, said in a statement. “D’Angelo would like to personally thank all of his fans for the outpouring of concern, and appreciates if all would allow the American justice system to resolve the matter before jumping to any conclusions.”
