Manhattan Strip Clubs: Desperate Housewives – Episode 6-15 Review

This episode focuses around the new stripper added to the cast, called Robin. After Susan offered her to stay in her house, the rest of the housewives get a little unsettled and find themselves in an awkward situation.
For Lynette it seems that the stripper is influencing her son. It looks like Parker is desperate to lose his virginity, and thinks the friendly stripper next door is the way to go. Lynnette confronts Robin and tells her to be more discreet, after seeing her son spying at her (while she was naked) from his window. Then, Robin tells her that Parker offered her money to sleep with him, which resulted to two confused Scavo parents. When they confront him, Tom shakes him a little and then everything is back to normal. Lynette then apologises to Robin for overreacting a bit with the situation and thus Robin and Lynette are now fine with each other.

In Susan’s storyline, we see how Susan is coping with having Robin staying at h …

Manhattan Strip Clubs: Pole Dancers Push to Compete in Next Olympics

… Feb. 24) — Pole dancing, the titillating mainstay of strip clubs throughout the globe, may one day be an Olympic sport, reports the New York Daily News. KT Coates, a pole dancer in England, and fellow advocates are circulating a petition for a test event at the 2012 Olympics and a more formal event four years later, in Rio de Janeiro.

Traskos shouldn’t worry. The famously staid Olympic officials — who recently sent packing U.S. snowboarding bronze medalist Scotty Lago after only slightly racy photos appeared — are unlikely to endorse anytime soon an event that is closely associated with strip clubs and lap dances.

And while you’re not going to see pole dancing on NBC over the next few days, there remain many non-Olympic venues in Vancouver where you can check it out, should you desire. No doubt the city’s strip clubs are faring well with the tourist influx. The only question is if alongside their standard entertainment, they’re also providing TV coverage of curling.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Stage Raw: Commercial Theater Institute

NEW REVIEW CELADINE With its contrived plot and wan humor, this piece of trivia by Charles Evered reminded me of the chick-lit historical romances I devoured when I was 10.  Celadine (Giselle Wolf) is an exceptional 17th century woman, an acclaimed playwright who once captured King Charles’ affections. Suffering writer’s block, she now runs a coffeehouse with her garrulous friend Mary (Holly Hawkins), a former prostitute. High-spirited and unconventional — but with a dark secret, of course –  Celadine cavorts with a young mute, Jeffrey (Will Barker); for laughs, they play horse (Jeffrey) and rider (Celadine), and he mends her pantaloons’ seam  while burrowed beneath her skirt.   The play’s real action jumpstarts around a smooth-talking thespian named Elliot (Michael A. Newcomber), who wants Celadine to write another play; soon after there’s an unexpected visit from the king (Larry Cedar) who  assigns her a dangerous espionage mission to help root out Protestant spies. The comedy might have worked had it been doused in tongue-in-cheek wit. Though …

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: HUD asks gay communities in Chicago, NYC, San Francisco for help with …

Chicago, New York and San Francisco all ban housing discrimination based on sexual orientation and, more recently, gender identity. The number of complaints about anti-gay bias filed with authorities has been relatively low — generally less than 10 percent of all housing complaints — but that can be attributed to some declining to out themselves by stepping forward, advocates said.
Fear of being outed is also a reason to hold the HUD sessions in big cities, where anti-gay bias may be less prevalent than elsewhere but where people also are more willing to discuss it when it happens, said Carey.
A study by Michigan’s Fair Housing Centers, a group of private advocacy organizations, found nearly 30 percent of same-sex couples were treated differently when trying to buy or rent a home. Such treatment included a male landlord who made sexually charged comments to a lesbian couple and a Detroit landlord who told testers, “No drugs, prostitution, homosexuality, one-night stands.”

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: North Plaza Inn closed permanently by judicial order

The hotel, at 3636 N. Dixie Drive, just east of the Dayton-Harrison Twp. border. Neighbors have long complained that the hotel, which rented rooms for $29 a day, is known for drugs and prostitution.
Montgomery County Common Pleas Judge Connie S. Price issued a temporary injunction and closing order on Nov. 18. The following day, Sheriff Phil Plummer and Prosecutor Mathias H. Heck Jr. shut the hotel down, moving people out and changing the locks.
According to the permanent order Price signed Tuesday, attorneys for Empire Hospitality Group and the prosecutor’s office had agreed to the permanent injunction. Under the agreement, Empire and its employees are restrained from entering the hotel or the parking lot until Nov. 17.

— Sheriff’s Deputy Josh Haas testified he has seen Kadaba in the hotel’s Jacuzzi room “with several known prostitutes.”

Manhattan Massage Parlors: Budget Beauty: Manicured Without Getting Clipped

Then they stuck more needles in me.
For aficionados of acupuncture, this is old hat. According to the tenets of Chinese medicine, tapping skinny needles into your pressure points is an age-old way of rebalancing the body and restoring, or ensuring, general health.
For the Frugal Traveler, however, this was entirely new. And not because I don’t trust non-Western medicine, or because my body never needed rebalancing. It was mostly because such treatments — which I lump together with massages and spas — have always seemed needlessly expensive. Sure, I’ve had worthy spa treatments in Asia (shiatsu in Saigon, Thai massage in Bangkok), but back home in New York City I never even considered making an appointment, or even ducking into one of the cheap but undifferentiated Tui Na massage parlors in Chinatown.

Manhattan Strip Clubs: Who’s Getting Outed on Desperate Housewives?

Let’s back up: Remember when it was announced that Dana Delany and Julie Benz would have a lesbian affair on Desperate Housewives, and Dana couldn’t stop talking about how “honored” she was to be doing so? Julie, who plays new lesbian stripper nabe Robin to resident chill-factor Katherine (Delany), stops by a soiree that’s in honor of recent cancer-survivor Mrs. McCluskey (played by real-life cancer survivor Kathryn Joosten).
And instead of becoming happy on champagne, Julie gets—SPOILER ALERT!—nudged in the behind…
Come to think of it, Lohan wouldn’t have been bad as the part of the gay stripper, fab though Julie Benz is. Think Marc could write another role for Lindsay? A fabulously successful and gifted childhood actor who moves to Wisteria Lane after deciding to give it all up for drugs, butch dames and a leggings line?

Manhattan Strip Clubs: Desperate Housewives – “Lovely” – Review

Lynette: Oh, man, Parker and his binoculars and wanting to pay Robin for sex? Such a little teenage boy. I’m so glad Lynette decided to apologize to Robin after totally insulting her, because clearly Parker is the one with the issues, not the fact that there’s a stripper across the street. I also love that Lynette told Tom off for his “pay for sex” speech and how he thought he was going to get some all because he bought her a sparkly ring. Pretty much, Lynette is awesome, as always.

Katherine: Welcome back! It’s good to see the resident crazy person back on the block, although she seems pretty cured, but who knows. She also seems like she’s definitely heading down the path of becoming a lesbian, which should be interesting to say the least, especially since she’s now living with an ex-stripper.
