Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Peers offer Woods support

… I think he’ll be received well (by fellow players). One thing we have to remember – we’ve all made mistakes and all sinned. And forgiveness is a huge part of the process.”
Englishman Luke Donald, said: “I think it was a sincere apology. Obviously he made it very clear that he wants media to leave his family alone, which I kind of agree with.
“(It) seems like he is getting the care and the help that he needs and hopefully he’ll be back on tour whenever he’s better.”
Crane impressed
Another competitor in Arizona, Ben Crane, was right behind Woods, declaring: “One of the first things that came to my mind is one of my favourite stories in the Bible.
“It’s about a woman who has sinned and been a prostitute and everyone brings her before Jesus and says, ‘Shouldn’t we stone her? Shouldn’t we kill her?’

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Players react positively to Woods

Cink agreed with Donald that Tiger’s apology sounded “heartfelt.”
He continued: “It sounds like it was a really difficult thing for him to do. It’s
probably going to help him along the way of healing… I was moved by how
difficult it seemed to be for him. I think it was a very important step for him
to take.”
Cink didn’t know what to make of Tiger’s extended indefinite leave of
absence but added that his comeback,
whenever it is, will be welcome.
“I think he’ll be received well,” Cink said. “We’ve all made
mistakes and sinned. Forgiveness is a huge part of the process.”
Farmers Insurance Open champion Ben Crane said Tiger’s
situation reminded him of a famous tale.
“One of my favorite stories in the Bible talks about a woman
who has sinned—a prostitute—and they bring her before Jesus and says, shouldn’t
we stone her? Shouldn’t we kill her for all these bad things she’s done?” Crane
said. “And Jesus says, yes, absolutely, stone her. But you without sin be the
one to cast the first stone.”

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Does Tiger Woods’ apology hold weight?

Bloom has six essentials to an effective apology: Say sorry sincerely; take responsibility; make amends; express appreciation to fans and friends who have stuck by you; listen to the people affected by your actions; and do better next time.
“He did pretty well. He checked all the boxes,” she said. “We now have got to see changed behavior. … I hope he follows through on it. I think America would love to welcome him back.”
Bloom says the importance of an apology shouldn’t be overlooked. There was a time, she says, when people viewed apologizing for your actions as weak. That perception has since changed, because Americans now recognize that people are inherently flawed.
“Folks are starting to wake up to that,” she said. “Most of the time, people are ready to forgive and forget.”
Who has given an effective public apology? She says actor Hugh Grant, who hit the talk show circuit immediately after his infamous encounter with a prostitute in 1995.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Woods looks for redemption in public apology

… More Images »  Golfer Tiger Woods apologizes for “irresponsible and selfish behaviour” during his first public statement to a small gathering of reporters and friends at the headquarters of the U.S. PGA Tour in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. February 19, 2010.Photograph by: Joe Skipper, Reuters
NEW YORK â Tiger Woods took his first public swing from the deep rough Friday, reading from a prepared statement to say he was âœdeeply sorryâ for his behaviour, but declining to give details about his infidelity.
âœI was unfaithful. I had affairs. I cheated,â he said in televised remarks from a podium before a hand-picked audience of about 40 people, who included his mother in the front row â but not his wife Elin.
âœI felt I was entitled . . . I was wrong.â
Woods said he was returning immediately to the therapy he began after the Nov. 26 car accident that opened the floodgates to revelations he slept with more than a dozen women, including porn stars, prostitutes, party girls and waitresses.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Sex addiction is big business for US clinics

Michael Johnson, a sex addiction specialist from Austin, Texas, said a real cure is only possible in about two years, “sometimes longer than that.”
Mainstream medical experts are cautious discussing the issue and the American Psychiatric Association does not recognize the disorder as a true illness.
But Johnson said that compulsive, unrestrained sexual activity causes harm.
“In my practice there are people who are not as prominent as Tiger Woods but successful people that put all their life at risk,” he said.
“Woods is an example: look at what he put at risk, he was on the top of the world and doing foolish things.”
Another example was New York’s high-flying governor Eliot Spitzer, who resigned in 2008 after it was revealed that he was repeatedly visiting prostitutes, paying up to 5,000 dollars at a time.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Writer charges abuse of justice in the Kerik case

For these kinds of reasons, I’m helping organize a reform effort through the Justice Integrity Project, a new non-partisan, non-profit organization. The public, not just a defendant, loses when DOJ’s power is abetted by judges who think their job is to push the accused through the system with the current 95 percent federal plea-bargain rate instead of insisting on basic fairness. The project’s goals are described on its Web site, with ongoing updates to be added shortly.
Kerik’s hard-luck childhood included abandonment as a toddler by his mother, a prostitute who was later murdered. Kerik dropped out of high school to enlist in the Army, and later created an impressive career in international security and other law enforcement work. He took a pay cut in 1986 to become a policeman in New York, and soon won many awards for valor and other achievements, including a lead role in cracking a huge cocaine ring at great risk to his life.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: After Woods makes statement, players offer their support

… Rehab takes a long time, takes a lot of perseverance, takes a lot of soul searching. It just doesn’t end in a month. So whether he plays again this year or not remains to be seen. I don’t think you should be surprised if he doesn’t — because right now the Masters at Augusta National, the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach and the Open Championship at St. Andrews really aren’t that important to what he’s going through.”
Ben Crane and Nick Watney were the only other players among the 16 competing Friday at the Accenture Match Play Championship who stopped to talk before their matches. Crane, who won the Farmers Insurance Open last month, said he felt Woods was very humble as he made the statement.
“One of the first things that came to my mind is one of my favorite stories in the Bible talks about a woman who has sinned and she’s been a prostitute and everyone brings her before Jes …

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Tiger Woods Apology Video: Sorry for behavior, unsure of return

… It sounded like it was a difficult thing for him to do. Tiger’s a tough guy, and like he said, he’ll overcome this.”
Ben Crane, who won the Farmers Insurance Open earlier this year at Torrey Pines in San Diego, where Woods won six Buick Invitationals and the 2008 U.S. Open, referred to one of his favorite stories in the Bible for his reaction to Woods’ statement.
“One of the first things that came to my mind is one of my favorite stories in the Bible which talks about a woman who has sinned and she’s been a prostitute and everyone brings her before Jesus,” Crane said. “And they say shouldn’t we stone her? Shouldn’t we kill her for all these bad things that she’s done? And Jesus says, yes, absolutely, stone her. But you without sin be the one to cast the first stone.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Hacksaw: Tiger Woods statement offers a different look

In a wide ranging statement to a global world of golf and the golfing media, a humbled Tiger Woods apologized to anyone and everyone, and said he would do better in his future life.
Four months after his SUV accident, the battle with his wife, and a failed attempt to control his privacy in the tabloid world we live in, Woods went down. His image shattered, his career on hold, he emerged humbled and honest.
It was indeed a different look at Tiger Woods. His 13 minute speech was not about shot selection or the course, golf clubs or the competition. It was about his wife, his kids, his hurt, his dishonesty.
The man, who once controlled everything, has seen his life spin out of control. Mistresses, porn stars, reality show hosts, pancake house hostesses, call girls. Name it, they linked themselves to him, and tabloids alleged he was paying for it.
