Manhattan Strip Clubs: Hermes Opens First Men’s Store

Hermes has long offered a made-to-measure program at its flagship store in New York, but the facility was small. “We offered it across the street, but we really hadn’t planned for it,” says Chavez. “We took an existing fitting room and transformed it into a made-to measure room. It worked and we were surprised at how much business we were doing out of this little makeshift space. But when this opportunity surfaced, we knew immediately that the fourth floor would become a made-for-measure salon. I think our customers are going to be thrilled.”
The 2,450 square foot boutique is the first in the world that Hermès has dedicated to men. The classic brownstone was redesigned by RDAI, the Parisian architectural agency founded by Rena Dumas, and features an interior that is new and contemporary yet borrows from the decorative vocabularies of the traditional tailor’s shop and gentlemen’s club. Details from the original Hermès store at 24 Faubourg Saint-Honoré are revealed and reworked and paired with the store’s streamlined architecture to offer a space that is both elegant and simple.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Fellow NY Democrats offer Paterson little support

ALBANY, N.Y. — Silence emanated Tuesday from top Democrats in New York as Gov. David Paterson, already fighting to remain politically viable, fought to lay to rest unconfirmed rumors and news reports of womanizing and drug use.
Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, many Democrats’ preferred candidate for governor in 2010, refused to comment Tuesday on the unsubstantiated tales, all of which Paterson denies. Cuomo’s office also won’t comment on whether he supports Paterson in his battle.
“We don’t comment on rumors,” a Cuomo spokesman said. “There are serious problems facing our state and the attorney general is busy doing the job he was elected to do.”
Many Democrats have voiced wishes that Cuomo run for governor instead of Paterson, who took the post upon the resignation of Eliot Spitzer, named in a prostitution investigation 23 months ago.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: State lawmakers get behind Governor Paterson

Attorney General Andrew Cuomo is refusing to comment Tuesday on reports in blogs and news accounts of womanizing and drug use by the governor. Cuomo’s office also won’t comment on whether he supports Paterson. Many Democrats have voiced wishes that Cuomo run for governor instead of Paterson, who took the post upon the resignation of Eliot Spitzer.
Republican candidate Rick Lazio says the rumors create a toxic atmosphere that block legislative action. He says no public official should face such unconfirmed personal attacks.
Paterson referred to the attacks Monday in an Associated Press interview as false, callous and sleazy.
Rumors around the Capitol and anonymous reports in some media outlets about Paterson’s personal conduct come as he considers seeking election later this year.
Paterson became governor in 2008 after former Governor Eliot Spitzer
resigned amid a prostitution scandal. When he became governor,

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: ‘Manhattan Madam’ Claims Hedge Fund Ties

… I was valedictorian of my high-school class,” said Ms. Davis, sporting a modest black suit but wicked Christian Louboutins with 5-inch heels. “I worked 10 years in finance. I was vice president of a hedge fund. I went on to build a multimillion-dollar business from scratch.”
FINalternatives reported that it had been unable to dig up which hedge fund Ms. Davis was referring to.
As part of her platform, Ms. Davis is promoting the legalization of prostitution, marijuana and gay marriage, and embraces the views of the National Rifle Association, The Daily News said.
And, the newspaper said, among her backers are the rapper 50 Cent and some “Northern California pot growers”.
Mr. Stone also has connections to the scandal that brought down Mr. Spitzer. Shortly after Mr. Spitzer resigned as governor following accusations linking him to a prostitution ring, Mr. Stone said his lawyers had informed the F.B.I. that Mr. Spitzer patronized high-priced prostitutes during trips to Florida.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Madam Governor

She expanded on her blog. “Unlike any of the other candidates for governor I have created jobs and made a payroll. I am certainly more qualified than the losers and hacks we have in Albany now!” she wrote.
Ms. Davis, with the help of infamous operative Roger Stone, had previously pledged to run against Eliot Spitzer if the former governor decided it wasn’t too soon to seek elected office. But now, Ms. Davis appears to be going for either the GOP or Libertarian nominations, regardless of Mr. Spitzer’s plans.
“This started out being about Spitzer,” admitted Stone, who in 2007 tipped off the FBI to Spitzer’s hooker habit. “But now that it looks like he won’t run, Kristin still wants to use her celebrity to highlight a reform agenda.”
In addition to her finance experience, Ms. Davis said she would like to legalize prostitution, marijuana and gay marriage.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: One Of Eliot Spitzer’s Whores-By-Proxy, The Kristin One, Would Like To Be …

Davis is running on a “taxation as confiscation” platform and also advocates legalizing prostitution and marijuana, saying that the potential $2.6 billion in revenue could help close the budget gap.
Wait, she doesn’t want their to be any taxes, but….somehow prostitution + marijuana = profit for NY Government? My head is ’sploding.

West New York police shut down their 5th prostitution ring in as many weeks

Ricardo Antonio Cuesta-Gomez, 23, of West New York, was charged with promoting prostitution and possession of marijuana. Satornino Rincon, 38, and Eloy Samano, 36, both of West New York, were also charged with promoting prostitution.

The officer met with a male member of the prostitution ring and was led to the apartment, police said. Upon arrival at the 64th Street residence, he paid $30 and was about to go into a room when police raided the premises, Bringa said.

On Thursday, West New York police arrested two women on prostitution charges in a similar sting operation.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Ethics bill advances in state Senate

… Given everything that’s happened with three legislators being indicted and this ongoing grand jury working in Kansas City, people’s faith and trust in the General Assembly is going down,” he said.
The committee weakened a provision in Mr. Shields’ original bill, which would have banned lobbyist contributions to legislators during the session. The new version requires enhanced reporting but does not include outright prohibition.
Mr. Shields said he tried to pass a ban on in-session contributions to legislators and their challengers three years ago, but the courts threw it out.
The bill was voted out of the Senate Rules, Joint Rules, Resolutions and Ethics Committee on Tuesday, the same day state Sen. Matt Bartle, R-Lee’s Summit, told The Associated Press that he appeared before a federal grand jury that was looking into political donations that may have contributed to the demise of his proposed regulation of the adult entertainment industry.

Manhattan Strip Clubs: Your 2010 SI Swimsuit Issue Cover, Starring Brooklyn Decker

Back in college, I took a class called “Gender Roles in Society” that could have been boiled down to simply, “Feminism: We Like It.” I took it by mistake, and I was one of two guys in a 33-person class. At one point, as part of an assignment, I had to defend the Swimsuit Issue against charges of sexism and perpetuating gender stereotypes. And, well, that sucked.
It’s tough to defend the merits of all the hype, at least in front of a bunch of rabid feminists. But then, how can anyone argue against this?
That would be the stunning Brooklyn Decker, star of this year’s Swimsuit Issue, which hits newsstands today. And with a name like Brooklyn, you’d have to think she was born to be a supermodel. Either that, or a stripper in a dilapidated New York City strip club.
