Manhattan Strip Clubs: The 2010 Grammy Awards: Taylor Made For Taylor Swift

Stephen Colbert appeared as the shows host and then kind of suddenly disappeared. One of the stage hands stated that Colbert had been arrested by Los Angeles police for trespassing.
It seems that Colbert was not really supposed to have been the host, but he apparently paid Kanye West, who was supposed to have hosted, $2,000 to stay away.
[EDITOR'S NOTE: Kanye West who has performed only once since his infamous Taylor Swift microphone grabbing incident took the $2,000 because he needs the money bad.]
The artist known as Pink sort of stole the show at L.A.’s Staple Center, when she sang the Beatles song “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds” while suspended from the rafters.
The lights were dimmed as Pink wore no clothing at all except for three strategically placed stripper’s pasties.

Manhattan Strip Clubs: Suddenly sexy Republicans?

Brown’s past as a male model who stripped for Cosmo quickly became fodder for late night comics and the object of derision for Democrats who scrambled to find a reason — any reason — to ridicule the Republicans who now represents the Massachusetts Senate seat once occupied by Ted Kennedy — a fomer hunk who had his own problems with his libido.
But Brown isn’t the only GOP pol who has a little sex appeal in his political closet. New Virginia Republican Gov. Bob McDonnell’s wife is a former cheerleader for The Washington Redskins.
Yep. Maureen McDonnell used to shake her stuff on the sidelines for the once-mighty Redskins. Granted, she did so back when uniforms for pro football cheerleaders were more than the cleavage-revealing, butt-hugging stripper-ware of today but the future First Lady of Virginia still looked pretty sexy on the sidelines.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Calling All Adults

If you really want to hear about it, the first thing you’ll probably want to know is where I was born, and what my lousy childhood was like, and how my parents were occupied and all before they had me, and all that David Copperfield kind of crap, but I don’t feel like going into It if you want to know the truth.
Unfortunately, he goes into it anyway, and gives us an odyssey far less compelling than David Copperfield’s. Pouting, sulking, and complaining his way through barely more than 200 pages, Holden sets an NCAA record for whining.
Holden departs Pencey Prep to spend a couple of days in New York City — where Holden lives with his family in between being expelled from expensive schools — until the expulsion letter reaches his parents. Over these days Holden goes through a series of banal and inept encounters with, among others, a prostitute, a male former teacher who makes a pass at him, and a hotel doorman who will never take the Miss Congeniality prize.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Rangers notes: On the case of Omar Beltre and Alexi Ogando, ownership roundup …

… They’ve shown great contrition over this this,” Espinosa-Dash said. “It’s taken an emotional toll on them, but they have really matured through this process.”
The two Rangers are the only players to be allowed re-entry into the U.S. after more than 30 players were caught up in a marriage-for-money scam that would have allowed the players to engage in arranged sham marriages in order to get their “wives” into the U.S. on visas. Once in the U.S., the women were often used as prostitutes or were poorly paid for work. One other player who was caught up in the 2004-05 scandal, pitcher Juan de Leon, remains property of an MLB club (the New York Yankees). It is not believed, however, that he has received clearance to re-enter the U.S.. Espinosa-Dash said she believes the clearing of Beltre and Ogando is a precedent-setting case.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Terror Trials of the Century, Then and Now

The Mayor knows that this would put Newburgh on the map. There’s a 20% unemployment rate, a ton of boarded up buildings and a handful of wonderful businesses struggling to survive. There are plenty of hotels in the area, an international airport, major roadways and oh, did I mention a military base?
Elsewhere, Ephemeral New York takes a trip back in time to look at a very different sort of terror trial: that of a murderer whom many believed to be “Jack the Ripper.” The 1891 murder of Cassie Brown, a 60-year-old prostitute, in a Bowery hotel room was brutal enough for many to believe that the infamous killer had crossed the pond from London and was now terrorizing Manhattan. Eager to solve the crime, the police quickly nabbed an Algerian hotel guest, as the blog reports:

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Solomon Dwek grilled on the Ten Commandments in Beldini corruption trial

… Up until I started my cooperation (with the FBI) I would operate — I would lie, I would steal, I would cheat,” Dwek said as defense attorney Brian Neary worked to tear down Dwek’s credibility. “I would do whatever i thought was necessary to further my real estate business.”
Dwek was quick to say he had changed his ways, adding, “Once I decided to cooperate, and I signed a cooperating agreement, I did not lie, cheat, steal. I obeyed.”
Neary forced Dwek to admit that his criminal activity — which included swindling friends, family and members of his Jewish community of Deal — had dishonored his father, a rabbi. Dwek also admitted to owning a gambling boat in Florida that was apparently used for prostitution and suggested he helped others covet their neighbors’ wives in so doing.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: A crowded field waits for Cuomo’s move on AG race

This is the odd world of the race for New York attorney general, in which at least a half-dozen lawyers and prosecutors are considering a run — but only if popular Attorney General Andrew Cuomo runs for governor. The once almost-anonymous job has transformed over the past 15 years into a high-profile role as the chief enforcer on Wall Street and in corporate America’s boardrooms.
The headline-grabbing post has become known by its initials, AG, sometimes derisively said to stand for “Aspiring Governor.” It may also soon produce New York’s second consecutive elected governor.
With Cuomo expected to drop a re-election bid and run for governor — whispers he refuses to confirm or deny — at least six people are considering trying to take over his job.
Former Gov. Eliot Spitzer was first the fabled “Sheriff of Wall Street” while taking on the financial world as attorney general. Despite his fall after a prostitution scandal, Spitzer remains New York’s most ambitious attorney general, so far.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: ‘Kell on Earth,’ mugging in Bryant Park

Andrew explains that the seating chart is basically what their clients “are paying us thousands and thousands of dollars for.”
Although the staffers have explained that it’s not just egos that are involved, most viewers will be stunned by the triviality of what they’ve spent nearly an hour watching. The show makes it worse by ending the episode on this cliff-hanger. Will Stefanie get the printer to work? Is it a paper jam — or something more serious?
Another poor choice was including a pointless visit by Ashley Dupré, the prostitute who was Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s undoing. She is ID’d onscreen as “Kelly’s friend,” even though Kelly lost a client when Ashley showed up at his show last year. Kelly justifies their friendship by saying that there’s not that much difference between what she does with her clients and what Ashley does.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: ROBERTS: ‘NO PRETTY WOMAN SEQUEL’

Caption: Julia Roberts (Picture) on the set of her upcoming film ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ shooting in Manhattan New York City, USA ….
ROBERTS: ‘NO PRETTY WOMAN SEQUEL’
JULIA ROBERTS is adamant she will never revive PRETTY WOMAN for a sequel – because she’s too “old.”
The Hollywood actress, 42, is best known for her role as prostitute Vivian Ward opposite Richard Gere in the popular 1990 movie.
The actors subsequently re-teamed for another romantic comedy, Runaway Bride, in 1999 – but despite movie bosses’ best efforts to bring Pretty Woman back for a follow-up, Roberts is adamant she will not be signing up.
She tells Moviehole.net, “Nobody wants to see an old hooker. It’s not that I’m anti-romantic comedy, which, for some reason, is always the favoured interpretation. I like being funny, I like being romantic… but it’s challenging trying to find a script which is original or interesting.”

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Porn shop lawsuit: Size matters!

The expansion plan had overwhelming public opposition, and township cops last September raided Video XPress following a one-month undercover investigation of people allegedly using the porn shop as a rendezvous point for sexual encounters arranged over the Internet.
Cops arrested six people during the raid, including shop owner Bill Pyne and his store manager, Sandra L. Helsel, 48, of Burlington Township.
Established in 1974, the porn shop said it wanted to morph into an “upscale” business that attracted a diversified clientele of men, women and couples. The shop said it would accomplish that by getting rid of its infamous viewing booths and concentrating on selling lingerie, sex toys and DVDs.
The expansion plan called for Video XPress to demolish its existing 1,400-square-foot building and construct a new 7,600-square foot building in its place. Video XPress said it would have operated in a 4,600-square-foot sector.
The porn shop said it would try to get other, non-adult businesses to occupy two additional sectors of 1,500 square feet each.
