Manhattan Adult Entertainment: Grand jury indicts man accused of threatening to kill 3 women at East …

MIDDLESEX COUNTY — An Old Bridge man has been indicted on charges that he threatened to kill three women at an East Brunswick hotel and was promoting prostitution.
Anthony V. Lucciola, 29, was also charged in the indictment with possession of a stun gun and possession of a police baton.
Police went to the Holiday Inn Express on Tower Center Boulevard at 7:35 a.m. on Oct. 21 after someone called in a report about a man threatening people with a baton.
The three women in the hotel room with Lucciola told police he was trying to force them into prostitution, authorities said. He had rented the room for them, they told police.
Lucciola maintained that he was running a legitimate escort business, authorities said.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: What’s Still Hidden In AIG’s Files?

AIG was a pioneer and the world’s top player in the trade of credit default swaps – exotic instruments blamed for fueling the cascade of financial disasters in 2007 and 2008. The company ultimately received four separate federal bailouts and, unlike big banks, is unlikely to pay it all back to taxpayers.
AIG’s financial products division, which handled the swaps, is a “black box, the epicenter” of the financial crisis, former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer said in an interview. Given that taxpayers own nearly 80 percent of the company, Spitzer said, the public is entitled to see a decade’s worth of AIG’s e-mail, internal accounting documents and financial models. This information will help prosecutors determine whether AIG employees broke the law, he said.
“It’s the best use of our money,” said Spitzer, who as New York’s attorney general was known as the Sheriff of Wall Street for prosecuting financial titans. Spitzer leveraged his performance as attorney general into the governor’s mansion before resigning in a prostitution scandal in 2008.

RALPH BAILEY: Martin Luther King’s courage remains unmatched

It is said that prostitutes and old buildings gain respectability after a period of time but it seems living legends become posthumous targets of ridicule and scrutiny and no one’s character has suffered more than that of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., arguably the most courageous revolutionary this republic has ever seen.
While some of my radio brethren question King’s achievements, insisting we need no national holiday for the fallen minister, King’s undying spirit, commitment to nonviolence and unwavering drive for equal rights in the face of certain assassination cannot be surpassed.
King catapulted to national prominence in the mid-1950s after becoming president of the Montgomery Improvement Association, a group of ministers, church goers and civil rights seekers that cooked up the Rosa Parks-spurred Montgomery Bus Boycott.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: NY’s Cuomo Has $16.1 Million in Funds, Five Times Paterson

… There’s two measures at this point, the polls and the money, and now Cuomo can say, ‘Not only do I have strong poll numbers but I’m going to outspend you,’” said Doug Muzzio, professor of urban politics at Baruch College in Manhattan.
Lazio’s Funds
Republican Rick Lazio, a former U.S. congressman from Long Island, announced in a cell-phone text message to supporters that he has raised $1.4 million since he declared his gubernatorial candidacy in September.
Paterson, 55, a former Senate minority leader, was lieutenant governor and became the state’s chief executive in March 2008 when former Governor Eliot Spitzer resigned amid a prostitution scandal. Paterson’s father, Basil, is a labor lawyer and founder of the Harlem-based political organization that elected U.S. Representative Charles Rangel and former Mayor David Dinkins.

Manhattan Adult Entertainment: From NY night clubs to W.Va. hills, Huntington looks to experience everything

He was quiet about what he did out of a respect for his under-the-table employers, he insists, but not out of fear. In fact, Huntington maintains that the men immortalized in today’s films as a breed of no-nonsense, no-conscience criminals were actually good guys.
“They did a lot of good things for people who were in need,” he said. “For a family maybe with the dad out of work for whatever reason, they’d just have somebody go by and give them money. If you went to the hospital and couldn’t pay your bill, they would take care of that. The people who were friendly to them, they would certainly help them. And, they weren’t into the drugs or prostitution or things of that sort back then; they stayed away from the dirty stuff until later. They were good people.”

Manhattan Strip Clubs: Jimmy Kimmel lampoons Jay Leno — to Leno’s face

Jimmy Kimmel appeared on Leno’s 10 p.m. show Thursday and all but eviscerated the host with a series of put-downs pegged to the situation at NBC, which has announced it is moving Leno’s show to 11:35 p.m. and bumping O’Brien’s “Tonight Show” to 12:05 a.m. O’Brien has said he won’t agree to the move.
Kimmel, appearing on Leno’s “10 (questions) at 10″ segment, was asked for the best prank he ever pulled.
“I told a guy that five years from now, ‘I’m gonna give you my show,’ and then when the five years came, I gave it to him and then I took it back almost instantly,” Kimmel answered, in a thinly veiled reference to Leno’s agreement five years ago to turn over the “Tonight Show” to O’Brien. Another question in the segment had Kimmel declaring he didn’t like strippers because “you have this phony relationship with them for money, similar to that of when you and Conan were on the ‘Tonight Show’ together passing the torch.”

Manhattan Strip Clubs: Lady Gaga Talks Inspiration, Haiti Relief And Stripper Shoes With Oprah

So This Is What Partying With Adam Lambert Is Like
Wyclef Jean, Lady Gaga And Others Call For Everyone To Help Haiti
Lady Gaga Talks Inspiration, Haiti Relief And Stripper Shoes With Oprah
Apparently you can never be too exhausted to meet Oprah. After reportedly collapsing before taking the stage at Purdue University last night, Lady Gaga still managed to show up for her live appearance on today’s Oprah Winfrey Show.
Adorned with a spikey hairpiece, Gaga talked about her desire to inspire listeners of her music, and even teared up at one point while doing so. (Come on, this is Oprah—what did you expect?) That said, amidst all the earnestness, she still managed to toss out a few Gaga-esque gems, like, “I was a go-go dancer, so I like to wear stripper shoes.”
